I have just had a lovely trip without leaving home! Thank you, Andrew. Your oma told me of your study in Morocco, and then I was delighted to see the website address in your parents' Christmas letter.

This summer while in Montana I met a young man from Bozeman who has applied for one of these study sessions in Morocco, so I will forward your material to his family, and others who have lived/visited there.

I find it wonderful that the world is smaller than ever; but then it turns up the problems--we can no longer pretend they do not exist. Your refugee camp encounter certainly points to that, and it is good you didn't try to photograph any of that.

Have a great trip home in January.

The narrative of some of your time away was also enjoyed.

In case you have forgotten I am the wife of Richard Lukins, your opa's first cousin. Dick will be interested, as I alert him

My husband and I, too, had the fortune of experiencing Spain in the summers this year. It was an amazing experience. Although we missed Malaga and Sevilla due to our packed itinerary, we did sneak in time for Granada and Cordoba. I'll look forward to reading your travelogues on the same. I put up two pictures - taken from a bus - somewhere in between Granada and Cordoba. They are at http://saadiam.blogspot.com/2008/11/dichotomies-in-appreciation.html. Can you recognize?

Your observations of the land and the people as well as the commerce and agriculture are most interesting. What a wonderful experience, which you describe so well.

The photos are great! You should label them; it would be cool to know where exactly they are.

We're in the Apple Store in downtown Palo Alto (remember this?) looking at your amazing blog. Everybody misses you. We are so impressed with what you are doing and are enjoying it vicariously.

Happy Halloween!

Boy, I'm having such fun reading about activities I'm probably getting a lot of my friends and neighbors bored about hearing about Andrew in Morocco.
Love you.

Hey Andrew!

What BEAUITFUL pictures, it's great that you are documenting your trip so thoroughly and with all that talent. It sounds like you are having an amazing (albeit challenging) experience.

We all miss you here at Whitman! It's the third week of classes, hard to believe since it really feels more like two months! Anyway, enjoy being abroad and I look forward to seeing the rest of your updates!
